# Introduction to Store Variables

### Why it exists

A store's name, support email, address and phone appear in many places: the footer, the contact page, policies, product tabs, banners. When one changes, or when you copy a store to start a new one, every place has to be found and edited by hand, and one missed spot shows the wrong details to customers.

Store Variables keeps these values in one place. Every page reads them from there, so a change is made once.

### How it works

1. You type the store details in **cPOD Kit → Settings → Store Variables**, and add your own fields if needed.
2. You use them as **shortcodes**, such as `[cpod_store_email]`, in pages, widgets, UX Blocks and HTML.
3. Inside cPOD Kit texts, such as Shipping Information or an icon box title, you use them as **placeholders**, such as `{{store_email}}`.
4. Change a value and every place updates.

The module also counts your orders for social proof ("Over 10,000 orders shipped"), adds a prefix to order numbers and can change who receives order emails.
