Why it exists #
Shoppers browsing a category often open product after product just to check the price, the colors or the sizes, then go back. Each round trip is a chance to leave. On mobile it is slower still.
Quick View opens the product in a popup on top of the list, with its images, price and options, so the customer can add it to the cart and keep browsing.
How it works #
- A Quick view button is added to every product card: on shop, category, tag and search pages, related products and product shortcodes.
- Clicking it opens a popup with the images, price, variations and product add-on fields, and an Add to cart button.
- Add to cart stays on the page and refreshes the mini cart. A View full details button links to the product page.
- Nothing of the popup is loaded with the page. It loads when the button is clicked, or when the mouse is over it on computers, so product lists stay fast.
Quick View is off by default. Switch it on in cPOD Kit → Modules.
