Why it exists #
Print-on-demand orders take longer than in-stock items: they are made first, then shipped. Customers who do not know when their order will arrive hesitate to buy, or write to ask “where is my order?”. A clear date on the product page sets the right expectation before they pay.
How it works #
The Estimated Delivery box on the product page shows a Delivery to country picker and an Ordered → Shipped → Delivered timeline with real dates.
The dates are calculated from:
- Today, and whether the order is placed before the daily cutoff time.
- The processing time of the product’s Product Profile.
- The transit time of the Shipping Profile that matches the visitor’s country.
- Only business days are counted; weekend days are skipped.
The visitor’s country is detected automatically and can be changed in the box. The choice is remembered and also updates the Returns & Replacements appendix and the shipping placeholders.
Needs: the POD Profile module, with at least one Product Profile and one Shipping Profile.
